Sonya is a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Peace Lov Harmony Counseling. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amridge University. Sonya has fourteen plus years of experience in the mental health field. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with a diverse group of people. Sonya is also an Alternative Dispute Resolution Mediator. Sonya completed a 40 hour mediation course on domestic relations issues provided by Alabama Mediation Training. Sonya is an impartial third party, that provides confidential mediation. She strives to assist disputing parties in reaching a mutually acceptable agreement regarding their dispute. Coming January 2025, Sonya is starting a 6hr (2hrs per session) virtual Partners in Parenting Workshop. This workshop has been designed to guide and support parents as you strive to improve your communication, problem solving, and guidance skills with each other.​ You can choose between virtual workshops held on Wednesdays, 6pm to 8pm or Saturdays, 8am to 10am. ​ The cost is $180 per participant.​ For more information or to pre-register, please email Sonya at peacelovharmony@aol.com.
