Sonya is a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Peace Lov Harmony Counseling. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a double Masters in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Amridge University. Sonya has fifteen years of experience in the mental health field. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with a diverse group of people. Sonya is also an Alabama Registered - Alternative Dispute Resolution Mediator for domestic relations. She is qualified to work with court-ordered and/or private parties to mediate domestic relations issues. Sonya is an impartial third party, that provides confidential mediation. She strives to assist disputing parties in reaching a mutually acceptable agreement regarding their dispute. Need help with Co-parenting, Sonya can help with that. She offers Partners in Parenting sessions with the co-parents or one on one sessions. The number of sessions will depend on your presenting concerns, your participation , and the implementation of the skills learned.
